Finally the Democrats get something done.

-------
WASHINGTON - In a stinging defeat for President Bush,
Senate Democrats blocked passage Friday of a new Patriot Act to combat terrorism at home, depicting the measure as a threat to the constitutional liberties of innocent Americans.
---------

a step in the right direction, but the Democrats need to stop dragging their asses and get Bush impeached. (my opinion)

we will have a republican president for a LONG time. the christian Church is now a very REAL power in American politics. it was the power of Churches who tell its followers how to vote that got BUSH #2 reelected. Oh and without a doubt. we will have BUSH #3 (jeb) calling the shots one day soon also.

So u know Bush is a born again christian. so that means that he believes in Christ's return. so for Christ to return some things must be in order. one of which is a restored BABALON. any one wana guess where BABYLON is......IRAQ

Oh yeah, apocalypticism certainly plays into these guys' thinking. In a lot of ways the mujhadeen are following their own apocalyptic mythoi. So we're left with the ramifications of two doom-and-gloom mythologies facing each other down.

Ronnie Regan is quoted as saying, "I believe my generation is the one that will see the Apocalypse."

eep! where's Jason and his Mongoose mythoi to combat the double apocalypse?
i sometimes wish there a place called 'Secular Island' and Ricardo Montalban and Hervé "Tatoo" Villechaize greet me when i get off "Da plane, da plane!" It would be intersting to live in a place where religions were not practiced. but it probably would have to be on the moon.
