Trouble in paradise

This guy's work is the art-equivalent of spam e-mail and infomercials. What's more American than "sign on the dotted line to get rich"? Nothing, I say.
This kind of thing isn't going away.
There is a causal link between banality and insanity.

"We were told success story after success story, and of course the 'Thom story' and his Christian views and the way he runs his life," Spinello told the panel in late 2004. "And it just made you … want to jump on board and be a part of it."

Kinkade made $53 million in royalties from 1997 through May 2005.

He may be the most horrific and banal artist around but that is quite a racket he has going on. He definitely knows his market well.

I had actually never heard of this guy until I was in Pennsylvania, but I am a heathen and never go to malls.

Did you get your own franchise as part of the ceremony?

I googled him. He's quoted as saying he's, "putting the fun back in fundamentalism". That's great!
