Ski Dubai, 85m high by 80m wide, has to cope with average outside winter temperatures of 77 degrees fahrenhiet and summer temperatures soaring above 104.The 22,500sq/m of piste are covered with 6,000 metric tons of manufactured snow all year round.

I was at the Smithsonian a week or two ago, and there was a display about simulated/fantasy environments. Of course they mentioned GM's 1939 Futurama, but there was a hotel they mentioned that is thought to be a precursor to Disney Land and Vegas... I can't think of it now and it's driving me nuts.
I think it's sort of funny that they are going to build a "Space Dome(TM)" in an already hazardous environment containing yet *another* hazardous environment.
