Chartsengraphs

I had a lot of fun making these this afternoon.
I'm using Inkscape's connector-network feature and the Open Clip Art Library to explain to my coworkers how the GNU-Linux SFTP server I've rigged works, and why it's better than e-mailing huge files containing sensitive information.

*From The MCP*

Warning: Programs who leave their assigned directories will be unable to return and will be de-rezed. This is an unfortunate side effect of the security scheme.

What was the Serious Cybernetics Corporations technical support motto (in the Hitchhiker's Guide)?
"Share and Enjoy!"?

Yes! I've been saying that to the animals at my homestead for months now whenever they happen to snap at one another, not realizing where it was from until I did a web-hunt the other day :-)

I found a Java applet through which our customers can access our file server without installing an SFTP client. (here) However, it sketches me out a little that they call it "open source" but there is no source code posted. They could be sending usernames and passwords back to themselves and no one would be the wiser.

so my friend told me to tell you about XMIND

XMIND looks really snazzy. It's cool how all the different structures can nest within one another, and the interface looks clean and easy to use.

I've been using Freemind for all of my To-Do lists, project tracking and brainstorms for a couple of years, and I'm quite acclimated to it. You can't beat the price. Also, it has been gaining new features at a pretty steady clip.

Oh, there's a new version of Inkscape out, by the way, with some great interface enhancements. Link.
