Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?, the movie Bladerunner is based on is very good, though quite different from the movie, in a good way. The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch is also very good. Lots of his more famous books I haven't gotten around to, yet. Though I fully intend to.
I'm going to second Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep for the reason Pete said (let me fire up my mood organ). The Cosmic Puppets is short, but like the best episode of The Twilight Zone never made. A Scanner Darkly rocks, but the movie is going to be The Suck(TM) due to casting (I mean, WTF?). I just picked up Valis, which is the first part of a trilogy, but I've been too busy playing Metroid Prime 2: Echos to read it...

Rather, the book Bladerunner is based on... Sorry.. Building virtual worlds makes on brain foggy and ill-equipped for other things.
