I played a lot of ZORK on my Commodore 64. I would draw maps and even got a invisble ink walkthrough guide seeing as I was trying to play all three installments at one time which was kind of mind boggling, particularly for a ten year old. Never could figure out how to open the gates to the spirit world with the skull, book, and candle though. Haunts me to this day. I wonder if Cheney wrote up an invisble ink walkthrough guide for Mr. Shrub?

I never owned an Infocom game, I played them at a relative's house. But, man, they were mind-crushingly hard.
