It's easy to lose sight of the scale of the neo-con project. I saw on a PBS program about Rove and Strauss that these guys' goal is to "starve the beast". That is render the government inoperative by miring it in debt. They're doing a very good job of it.

Why didn't we just buy the Iraqis $235,029,465,433 worth of stuff from The Sharper Image and air drop it?
