i dont see how any of this can work. its fucking rad but i dont see it. first "cloud" anything is suspect. and when you cloud my videogames you are pushing it. second what about the MODing? 3rd what will the big 3 have to say about this? and on another note. if you can do this with videogames, then Movies and TV....easy.

Yeah, same thoughts here.

Here's an article by someone with more know-whats on vid streaming than I explaining how he doubts OnLive is being honest about their tech. If what they say is true, what they have developed represents a quantum-leap in compression, packet routing, and application management (and they're using it for games?)...

If this is true, it is a tremendous achievement. I suspect that the compression scheme is related to the Photosynth stuff Microsoft bought.

One important point is that in the cloud, all users are tenants and not owners. This isn't such a problem with games, but it makes me very uncomfortable with other things like business and personal data and interactions.
