I finally saw Akira Kurosawa's 1990 film "Dreams" this evening, and thought it was unique and terrific. Though I am confused as to why Vincent Van Gogh was portrayed as an English speaking American.

I finally saw Akira Kurosawa's 1990 film "Dreams" this evening, and thought it was unique and terrific. Though I am confused as to why Vincent Van Gogh was portrayed as an English speaking American.
