Blogger (which henceforth will be referred to as The Google) is apparently offing a new service upgrade for Astromen! which merges a number of previously unavailable Google-rific services into, eh, The Google. Unfortunately, this will require shifting the current incarnation of Astromen! from it's present day location into the future, which may cause unanticipated login and posting difficulties for Astromen! members who have not yet transmitted a copy of themselves into the world of tomorrow via the Microsoft ChronochamberTM on Sub-level 7J.

I think The Google was supposed to send out notifications to all blog members with instructions on hot to upgrade to new posting accounts. Did anyone receive these messages?
No. But we (Alex & I) both have g-mail accounts. Perhaps that is the hurdle; so, everybody else, let us know if you want g-mail "invites" if nothing else works.

The Google appears to have decimated the ranks of Astromen! I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent apparition of Cthulu in the comment section?
I think they'll get around to registering. From the documentation for the upgrade, I gather that the roll-over time will be quite a while.

There should be a link on "blogger.com" to carry over your old Blogger account, and associate it with your Gmail address.
You do not need to have a g-mail account to post on blogger. You do need to register again for posting by creating a new blogger/google account but any e-mail address will work. Besides assimilating your identity into THE GOOGLE the requirement of an e-mail address is just for password verification.
I repeat! The others are GOOGLE ROBOTS trying to trick you into joining them. You do not need a g-mail account to get back to the future.
