The finals of a strange sporting event called the World Cup are on Sunday evening in Euroland. This is essentially the agressions of 600 years of nationalist inner-continental warfare played out on a soccer field. It is a big deal here and it would be a shame to miss out on the opportunity to party among the "vigorously violent lumpen-prole hooligans thoroughly involved in vandalism, gang-fights and small-scale narcotics trafficking."

Ryan was playing on the MUD from Germany, yesterday. And the moment the match ended, on the voice chat channel, we heard about ten or twelves seconds of cacophony and howling from the streets of Berlin. It was a very strange trans-global, multi-reality experience.
